I haven’t painted anything (apart from a few abstract paintings - which were really just brush strokes on a canvas!) since school. So, I was looking forward to this, I thought I might be good at it. But no, I wasn’t! I blame the paintbrush I needed one that was much finer. If you give the renderings a quick glance, they look pretty decent though! I also rushed through them, I had left them to the last minute… literally, I think the paint was still wet when I sent them off for marking! I also had a helping hand!
I decided to try and redeem myself and using the Procreate app on the iPad, I created this (using a tutorial from Jewellery Design House. That was much more fun for me and I’m looking forward to doing some more designs using their tutorials.
After all the pieces were sent in, I had to complete a gemstone quiz. It was a great refresher for me, as I had done the GIA (Gemstone Institute of America) Applied Jewelry Professional Program in 2020 and a lot of the gemstone knowledge I gained from that I was able to use for the quiz.
